Great job by the Erie County Department of Public Works Clarence Divisions road crew strip patching Conner Road in Clarence. I believe a permanent repair can be accomplished but for the supervisor of the Town of Clarence who is holding up moving forward. The town has certain drainage responsibilities for the road and lands as well, though the supervisor rejects that claim. He even walked out of a meeting between town and county officials even before the parties started talking. We repaired the road this week and it is now a smooth ride, but drainage problems have to be fixed by both the county and town and we are now waiting for the supervisor to even come to table before we can talk again. He should do the right thing for his constituents instead of doing what he usually does: nothing.
