Great marriage conference opportunity. October 15, 2014 Thank you for all you are doing to invite couples to the upcoming Weekend to Remember® at the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas on 11/14-16, just 4 weeks from now. If couples are planning to say at the Omni, they should make their reservations soon while rooms are still available. They can call the Omni at 972-556-0800 to make reservations requesting the FamilyLife rate. I am sure couples can go on line and find other hotels in the area to book a room when the Omni sells out. Let me encourage you to invite engaged couples to attend the Weekend to Remember Marriage Getaways. They have two extra sessions and when completed they will receive a certificate from the State of Texas that lowers the cost of their marriage license by $60 when they wed in Texas during the next year. This is part of the Twogether in Texas program to encourage couples to receive pre-marital counseling. Additionally, Military Couples – Active, Active Reserve and Active Guard can receive a free conference registration this fall by calling FamilyLife at 800-358-6329 during the week-day from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Also, pastors can receive a scholarship by going to familylife/pastor and fill in requested information. Then we will call them to conduct a brief questionnaire (about 10 minutes) and then they will receive a free couples registration. We are hosting a Special Pastors Breakout session on Saturday morning that addresses issues pastor and their spouses face. You may have some couples who would be interested at volunteering to work at the WTR. If they are interested, have them go to familylife/weekend and click on the Volunteer tab on left of screen and then National to volunteer on Site. Complete requested information.
