Great morning Facebook friends and family, I would like to wish you all a WONDERFUL and PRODUCTIVE day. Those that are going to work employing physical or manual labor stay strong and work towards that plan; those of us going to work to employ our minds, focus, ask questions, and have intellectual discourse with one another. Those doing both, hats off to you. Our mental development depends on these discourses outside of the academic arena, at least that’s what I believe. During discourse with a group of philosophers yesterday I found it humorous that when anyone of us disagreed and had an opinion about the topic discussed, we would each say the following: I have several questions… This is a hallmark of philosophers; so if you and I are in discourse and you hear me say, “I have a couple of questions” it necessarily follows that I am using my philosophical tools to either understand your chain of reasoning or I want to lead you through my chain of reasoning. Either way, I am attempting to get Clarity, Validity (strong or weak if inductive), Soundness (or cogency if inductive), and Consistency (CVSC) in this precise order. I use questions as a dying warrior uses his/her broad sword in a last ditch for survival; I recommend you all do the same. There are still Zombies out here. Stay Alert, Stay Alive!
