Great neighbor, right? joe VIRGINIA BEACH -- A woman has been arrested and charged after police say she stole more than 100 Christmas presents from front porches after they were dropped off by UPS, FED-EX or USPS. According to a news release, the Virginia Beach Police Department began receiving reports around Thanksgiving from citizens that Christmas presents were disappearing from front porches after being delivered. Through their investigation, along with the communitys assistance, detectives were able to identify 49 year-old Leigh-Anne Larson of Virginia Beach. She was arrested Saturday morning. They said they recovered 100+ stolen Christmas presents from Larson. Larson is charged with two counts of grand larceny. John Farrell says he and his family are one of the victims. A package with Christmas presents for his children vanished from their home Monday. He says his wife was inside the home when UPS driver rang the door bell. My wife went to the door a minute or two later and theres nothing out there, Farrell said. He says its sad to know that the person police say is responsible is actually his neighbor.
