Great news! A librarian has been hired. Please meet her: "Greetings Leckie Families, My name is Ms. Caputo, and I will be your new librarian at Leckie Elementary School for the upcoming school year. The “SUMMER SLIDE” describes what happens when our students rest during the summer months. However, Principal James and I believe there is no better time than the summer to continue helping our children bridge the gap in learning between the end of one school year and the beginning of the next one. Children, who read during the summer gain reading skills, while those who do not often slide backward. To help prevent Leckie students from losing ground to summer slide,I would like to remind you of the wonderful and free services our pubic library provides to the community!
