Great news! After a three-year campaign by CCFC, it’s the end of the road for “Your Baby Can Read!,” a $200 video series that encouraged parents to put infants as young as three months in front of screens. Today, the Federal Trade Commission announced a settlement with the series creator, Dr. Robert Titzer, that will prohibit him using the insidious phrase “Your Baby Can Read” or promoting or endorsing products unless there is research to substantiate that product’s claims. As CCFC’s Susan Linn said, this “is a huge victory for families.”
