Great news! I found a mani-pedi and a hairdresser who knows how to cut fine, wavy hair for what I was paying back in Buford. Both an answer to prayer, and both at Walmart, bless thrifty old Sam Walton. Even better, the kids started school today and all three had really good experiences. After homeschooling for most of the last year and a half, Marlo was so excited about getting to go back to school with her sister and big brother, that she put on her book bag at 7:00 AM (school starts at 9:10 AM) and literally bounced all over the house for joy. We are seeing now that her medicine is helping. The number of drops (atonic seizures) she has has decreased, and she recovers much faster. So thank you all for your prayers. Please keep it up. The low-THC marijuana extract is slowly working. Her teacher said she had a very good first day and was very involved with her leveled work and the other students. She has a wonderful parapro with her all day who has personal experience with special-needs children. I am so hopeful that this can continue, because Marlo is still a very social child, and my daughter-in-law is worn out. She has four other children who need her and have suffered from the demands of Mom and Dads giving their sister one-on-one care. And the kids have had to adjust their responses to what their sister does, based on whether she is responsible for her behavior, or not able to respond properly because of her disease. And theyre just kids, after all. Now that school is in, were going to have a reassuring routine for school days that will give all of us a chance to catch our breaths.
