Great news!! The Chairperson of Censor Board, Leela Samson, has resigned. After courting controversy over PK movie in which she had shown her hypocritical stand, there was tremendous pressure on PM Modi to intervene & fire her. But Modis administration style is different and he always tackles the problem over time in such a way that nobody will be able to point a finger at him. Leela Samson was cornered over the past few weeks and finally ended into a stalemate today due to which she quit on her own. (Modi Govt appointed officers who had started giving her a hard time by asking her to be consistent. Messenger of God movie was like the last nail in the coffin. She was against approving that movie because according to her the movie did not have any logic and looked like an advertisement. But the officers were adamant because they wanted her to be consistent with her stand where she had always approved even anti-Hindu films in the name of freedom of expression and hence should not matter whether this movie is logical or not as long as it abides by the censor board rules. So, she finally resigned by citing the reason for resignation as: interference, coercion and corruption of panel members and officers of the organization who are appointed by the ministry)
