Great news for our Continuum! Yesterday, HUD announced the FY 2014 grants for the Continuum of Care Program and Sacramentos CoC received an award totaling $18.7 million to fund housing and services throughout Sacramento County. This includes a bonus grant of $2.4 million for Next Move Sacramento, Lutheran Social Services, and Wind Youth Services to work together to create an additional 130 units of permanent supportive housing for families and transition age youth. This project was selected from a national applicant pool, and was just one of 25 awarded. In addition, this project is the 5th largest grant provided. We are excited to see our partners working together to make a difference in the lives of the people in our community.
