Great news for travellers to Gazipaşa Airport (2014-02-15) The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently visited Gazipaşa Airport and was impressed by its continued success. New plans were then unveiled to improve the airport further, in order to meet the demand of an expected minimum 1.5 million visitors landing at Gazipaşa this year. Among the improvements, the runway will be lengthened by 500m resulting in larger aircraft, including Boeing 757, being able to land securely. There will also be an increase in apron to 6 parking places for aircraft, this will enable more airplanes to land and remain at the airport at the same time. In order to deliver a service to more travellers the terminal area will be rebuilt, increasing its current size of 2600m2 to 6400m2. Alongside this will be an increase of check in desks from 6 to 15, baggage scans from 2 to 4 and passport control desks from 4 to 8, providing a much faster, smoother process to your travelling experience. This 40million Euro investment will be completed in perfect time for the high summer season visitors. International flights to Gazipaşa Airport include: Corendon Airlines (Amsterdam, Billund, Warsaw, Aalborg, Tehran) Sunexpress (Dusseldorf, Leipzig, Munich, Koln, Frankfurt, Stuttgart) Finnair (starting from summer 2014) JetTime (Oslo, Stockholm, Billund) Premiair (Stockholm) SAS Scandinavian Airlines (Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg) Tailwind Airlines (Brussels), Transavia Airlines (Amsterdam, Eindhoven) In addition to these international flights you can also fly between Gazipaşa and Istanbul, Antalya and Ankara in Turkey.
