Great news from AMD Now the R9 285 is launched at 249$. R9 270X priced slashed from 199$ to 179$. R9 280 priced slashed from 249$ to 229$ R9 280X priced slashed from 299$ to 279$ R9 295X2 priced slashed from 1499$ to 999$. And yes, R9 285 performance is not equivalent to R9 280 as previously thought, its at par with R9 280X. R9 285X is expected to launch later this month with a pricetag of 349$.
