The Aviation Department has withdrawn their appeal to fight the historic designation of the Pan Am Headquarters Building. Apparently Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez intervened to save the building. Do not write to the Dade County Commission instead it is suggested to write thank you notes to Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez for saving our Pan Am Headquarters Building better known to us as the ‘Taj Mahal’.
