Great news from the Voice and Speech Trainers Association for supporting our Lessac Kinsensic Research and Training! Abimbola Adetola "Bimbo" Benson of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a recent participant of the Lessac Institute South African Intensive Workshop, was awarded the VASTA Clyde Vinson Memorial Scholarship. It provided fees for registration and travel to the 2013 VASTA Conference. She was nominated by Professor Deborah Kinghorn, University of New Hampshire. Robin Carr, University of Southern Mississippi, was one of two recipients of the 2012-13 VASTA Dorothy Mennen Research/Development Grant. She applied the award toward travel to engage in research related to the international application of the Lessac work theatre programs in Australia and The Philippines.
