Great news today! The packet for Village Council meeting on Monday night is posted and it includes our Referendum petition and a notice from the Village Solicitor, Christopher R. Conrad determining it to be valid. Solicitor Conrad advises that Council either repeal Ordinance 2014-16 approving the intention to go forward with the public funding of the CBE or take the steps necessary to ensure that the issue is on the ballot for the November 2014 General Election. Next step, is for the petition to be submitted to the Greene County Board of Elections for signature verification. We greatly exceeded the number of signatures required which was an amazing accomplishment considering we only collected signatures over the time span of one week and the majority of them are valid according to my records. So yeah, everybody take a bow. We did good.
