Great news tonight from Pastor Bill Campbell of First Presbyterian Church, Hendersonville: Dear Friends: Praise God, the vote tonight passed, and we are now stepping into the land of the EPC. Out of 334 who showed up, 81 percent (270) voted to re-affiliate to the EPC, and 62 voted to remain in the PCUSA (with 2 abstentions). Of the 62, only a small percentage are local and active members, so worship this Sunday will be as full as ever, and a number of people have been waiting to join until after we got through this vote. We will still have to negotiate a settlement price with the presbytery, which may take from 2 to several months. What a relief. What a joy! Thank you so much for your prayers! Bill Campbell
