Description: The American Academy of Pediatrics – Alaska Chapter is looking for an intern interested in gaining knowledge and experience in immunization quality improvement strategies. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn strategies for improving adolescent immunization rates in Alaska. Activities: • Train on adolescent Assessment, Feedback, Incentives, and eXchange (AFIX) processes. • Assist with quarterly immunization coverage rate report mailings. • Compile present activities and progress in teen coverage rates. • Provide support to pediatricians involved in immunization quality improvement strategies. • Facilitate a pre and post discussion and evaluation of immunization practices and teen immunization rates in their participating practice settings • Deliver provider pre- and post-program implementation surveys on knowledge and attitudes toward teen vaccines. breakdown of hours (250): Training on AFIX process Supporting providers in clinical setting (historical data entry, reminder recalls, send teen immunization reminder letters statewide using VacTrAK Timeline: December: Share Job Description Interviews: Jan. 9th Intern Starts Jan15th Project completion July1 with possibility to extend to September 30th
