Great review from a recent visitor on Trip Advisor! What do you love about Cheekwood? “I love Cheekwood!” Jun 13, 2014 We have been in Nashville in June for the past five years and I think we have been to Cheekwood each time. It is a lovely old estate that is now an art gallery and botanical garden. Each year they have special exhibits based on a theme. This summer it is BUGS. Artists have created large, fanciful bugs. Some are play structures and some are sculptures. One year there were playhouses...the most creative, outlandish playhouses one could see. One year there were outdoor glass sculptures by Chihuly. There is a good restaurant on the grounds so you can make a day of the visit. In the mansion, there is an art gallery. One of my favorite parts is the sculpture walk through the woods with ten sculptures. I was excited to see a James Turrell skyspace. Each time I go to Cheekwood, I am surprised and delighted.
