Great ride today, Sis and Omega both did good. 24 miles or so, lots of large rocks so had to walk some but in the heat that was fine. (Pennyrile State Forest, KY video) Lots of long hill climbs. Think Sis will just barely be where Id want her to do a 50 in few weeks. Not in as good a shape as she was for Top of Rock for sure. Hopefully well get slightly cooler weather at Shine & Win. If we can make Skymont I think shell be able to do the back to back 50s there, with some speed. Omega is showing such promise. Tons of heart, medium speed. Not a speed demon at this point but showing good sense, still the occasional light spook. Hes green. But should make a good safe steady endurance horse for someone thats intermediate and knows horses. He is ridden with halter only. We are looking for a special home for him, I dont have the pasture room and Lacie likes mares and has too many horses. He needs his own special home where get can get most of the attention. He has excellent bloodlines, Raffles. Mostly Crabbet. Have papers but unable to get signed over. 9yrs old but barely been used, so joints like a young horse.
