Great story about my friend, the amazing Leah Brewer and her fantastic pit bull ambassador, Elle the Pit Bull (last years Hero Dog Awards winner) from State Farm this weekend. Seems like a lot of confusion within the FB comments, though, about State Farms policy re breed discrimination. To be clear, what I absolutely love about State Farm and one of the reasons Im proud to be partnering with them on the issue of dog bite prevention is precisely because they recognize that that any breed of dog can bite and any breed can be a great pet. They dont deny or change coverage based on the breed of dog you have. Of course they have the right to adjust coverage if your dog is proven to be aggressive or dangerous, but thats not based on whether its a pit bull or a Pomeranian. The way it ought to be....
