Great teenage memories here from Canadian band Motherlode. When I - TopicsExpress

Great teenage memories here from Canadian band Motherlode. When I Die struggled to find success in Canada & it wasnt until it was released in the U.S. (Buddah Records) in late July 1969 that it caught on & would peak at #18 charting on the Hot 100 for 13 weeks. After the success in the U.S. it would rise to #5 on the RPM Magazine (Canadas version of Billboard) chart & its this weeks One Hit Wonder. 1969 was a great year for music as the changes to pop music that started in 1966-67 were in full swing. BTW that is not Billy Preston on keyboards. Its the late William D. Smith who would go on to have a solo career in Canada in the 70s with a few hits released on A&M
