Great to see a retouch argument based on men and not women for a change!! Although I am not so sure that this article is as much about retouching as it is casting. I dont think that the athletes/models shown all have beer bellies in real life and have been retouched to look like this!! Sure, good lighting/make up and retouching helps make the images what they are but really are the bodies on the right as unattainable as the article suggests? Of course not! If all of us regular shape guys were prepared to be strict with our diets, went to the gym six times a week and kept on top of our grooming we could all have these bodies! Why do we attack these brands/models for using/having fantasiatic physiques rather than admiring them and their hard work?! I dont know about everyone else but I would much rather see the athletes/models as oppose to the regular guys up on the billboards!! These brands are creating memorable images often in exotic locations with beautiful models and perfect make up. Be honest with your self, would you REALLY prefer to see a regular guy in his pants on the sofa with a beer in his hand or a perfectly groomed Mr Beckham?!? We dont HAVE to look like these guys, there is no pressure to, it doesnt make us any more or less of a person if we have a beer belly or a six pack!! it is just irrelevant but of all professions for one that requires one to be in their pants on a huge billboard, looking good is just in the job description!!! m.huffpost/us/entry/5543693
