Great two day trip to Mississippi to watch a college football rivalry game... the Egg Bowl (Ole Miss & Mississippi State). Driving home this afternoon, listening to the 80s station on XM Radio...replaying a countdown from this week in 1980 (when I was in the 5th grade)... a little known John Cougar song entitled, This Time comes on... Colleen says (with a bit of truth and sarcasm), This should be Marcs theme song for the 1980s... WOW! From my wife none the less... and then it dawned on me... she really knows me well! So I feel obligated and responsible (from my own conscience) to share the song with everyone on FB and apologize for all the crap I pulled with former girlfriends, dates, etc., growing up through junior high and high school. I was an extremely self-centered, narcissistic, prideful and immature when it came to relationships with girls...only seeking my own gratification... What a shit I was...! To that end, to any and all former girlfriends, I am sorry for pain I caused, those I hurt and the trust I sabotaged with my behavior... I truly am sorry. To Colleen, my wife...thank you for always keeping me in check, grounded and accountable... you are truly what love should be about - accepting me for the many flaws, while sacrificing and loving me more each day.
