Great voice, great song. As we head into this holiday season, just had on my mind... The gospel of Jesus is not about condemnation, nor guilt and shame. It is not about right and wrong. It is about life and death. From the beginning it has been about choosing life! There were two trees in the midst of Eden: The tree of the knowledge of Good & Evil, and the Tree of Life. Eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil brought death through the command/law. But the perfect cannot be commanded, so God said nothing about the Tree of Life, leaving to man to choose life and to feed from it. Today the choice still is before us. We can feed from knowing good and evil/right and wrong and it won’t bring life, only condemnation, guilt, shame, and death. Only feeding from the tree of life (Jesus) does bring life. Life triumphs over death in Him. Which have you chosen to feed from? Which are you feeding from? John, an eyewitness of His life, wrote late in his life... [John 3:16-18 NASB] 17 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
