Great weekend for ATL Braves fans and Upstate NY ... Pitching legends Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux.. (both 300+ game winners) will be inducted along with their manager Bobby Cox. into the Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Braves won 14 division titles under Cox.. Maddux was probably the best control pitchers of all-time.. In 1997 he went 19-4 and only walked 20 (6 intentional) batters in 232 innings !!! Tom Glavine won that final Game 6 of the 1995 WS when he gave up 1 hit in 8 innings... BOTH of these guys pitched during the steroid era. I remember Bobby Cox when he played with the Yankees and then was a coach with the Syracuse Chiefs... We used to go to Cooperstown every year for the HOF ceremonies and then 2 major league teams played an exhibition game... Cooperstown is great !!
