Greater Imani Church and Christian Center WHAT I LEARNED IN CHURCH TODAY November 9, 2014 Luke 8:22 Its Time To Go An Invitation personalizes and makes us feel special. A wedding invitation or birthday party invitation says were wanted there; that were loved. If we dont get invited it makes us feel unwanted and unloved. Some of us may be still upset about not getting invited even several years ago. Getting invited to the party is a good thing But what happens when you get an invitation to the unknown. We like to know where were going so we can dress properly, be in the right frame of mind, etc. When we move and welcome new people into our new home they may not know what to expect and even some of us may not know. We will have to be careful how we look at folks that may seem different. We can not let our attitudes kill the potential of a lost soul coming to Christ. Weve been in our current location for 14 years. We didnt choose to join this church, it was divine intervention that lead us here. Our Apostle has helped us with revelation of the scriptures that we didnt have before. We taken the principles and the knowledge that our Apostle has bestowed upon us and not only been blessed in our spiritual life but have taken that knowledge into our personal lives and our home lives have also become better. Lives have been changed. But its time to go. Weve done well here. Weve done enough here. Lets go to the other side. There is work to be done on a higher level. We did good here but its time to move forward. There is a trust level that we must reach for as we pack up to move two miles up the street. We may not know what to expect but we know the Holy Ghost will be with us. So were believing that we will prosper all the more in our new location. We have no knowledge of our own whats to come, but scripture tells us whats to be expected in the other side as we move and invite others to join us. 1. The invitation is not for everybody. Its for the victors not the victims. The overcomers will prevail. 2. There will be storms are on the other side But Jesus is also there so we can take comfort knowing He will not dessert us as we move forward. 3. We will find new devils on the other side. We have to guard the gates to make sure we are aware of their presence so we can work to not be overtaken by them. 4. People that are on their last hope will be there. People will come with the attitude that if they dont get it there theyll just will give up. We have to stand in the gap to let them know about the goodness of His grace and what He has done for us. We must all witness to them. We can tell our story better than anyone else can. 5 But the most important thing well find on the other side is the true root of our faith, a strong belief in Gods ability to take care of all our needs. We must help the unbeliever to believe. There will be new levels and new devils. But if we are to prevail we must be steadfast in our own faith and persevere as we move forward to help the people to know that Jesus is the way to salvation.
