Greater manifestations of the glory of God. That’s what we’re gunning for. If the Old Testament nation of God, which was a type of the church, could be brought to see the God of Israel in His glory and could even described what He looked like, how much more of Him should the New Testament church see? You know, God is not uptight, and He doesn’t mind us seeing His glory as long as we can handle it. He wants to reveal Himself to us in a tangible way. In fact, He wants us to know Him far beyond the works that He does among us. He actually desires that we desire to seek His face rather than His hand. That is, He wants us to know Him better than we know His works. That was the difference between Moses and the children of Israel. Moses knew His ways, and they knew His acts. Knowing His acts is not good enough; it does not make us any different from the world. That was the reason Moses prayed, “If you do not go with us, do not carry us anywhere from here, for how will it be known that I and these people have found grace in Your sight? Is it not in that You go with us? So shall we be separate (or holy) from all the people that are on the face of the earth” (Ex. 33:15-16). Beloved, that is the cry that God wants to hear coming from the hearts of His people. Can we be that generation that seeks after the heart of God? It starts with you!
