Greatness of The Sanskrit Language MadanMohan Tarun Sanskrit is still capable to give a lot to this modern world in comparison to many rich languages around and abroad. Only thorough study of Mahabharata can open new doors in life and lead to new paths still to be discovered. Unless you have some knowledge of Sanskrit, you can’t enjoy the sound – specialty of this language which takes you farther than what eyes can see and the words can produce only through their traditional meaning. It is sad that teaching of Sanskrit is being opposed in favor of German language. We have no problem in teaching our children various languages of the world as their choice in favor of their future use for livelihood, but it should be taught as foreign language. Teaching of Sanskrit as Indian languages must be kept open. In our Prime Institutions, like LBS National Academy OF Administration , Mussoorie , responsible to produce administrative officers in all the three major administrative services, runs Foreign Languages Department, including major Indian Languages Departments and impart training as per needs , equally National Defense Academy , Khadakwasla , Pune , which is responsible to produce officer cadets for Indian Armed Forces and of course trains cadets from various friend countries from the world, also run Foreign Languages department independently. I think, these Institutions should teach Sanskrit also to their future officers for a better feeling of Indianness. Good knowledge of languages play big role in the life of people for better communication and inculcate better confidence and respect in the society. See the Prime Minister Modi ji, what a good command he has on languages, which has played gallant role in his leadership to our own country and the world as a whole. He has a strong base of Sanskrit language.
