Greed and covetousness have always bred strife. Those two evil traits led to the colonial powers engaging in historys worst atrocity - the slave trade. Trouble is, greed and covetousness have not been exorcised from the human experience. That, to me, seems to be at the heart of the crisis brewing in the Pacific.
