Greek real agricultural income up 4.4 pct in 2014. Compared with 2005, the real agricultural income per worker rose 27.1 pct in Greece. Another positive sign! BRUSSELS (ANA-MPA) 16/12/2014 Greeces average real agricultural income per worker rose 4.4 pct in 2014, compared with an 1.7 pct decline in the European Union, Eurostat said on Monday. In a report, the EU executives statistics office attributed the decline in the average real agricultural income in the EU to a 4.0 pct decrease in real agricultural income in 2014, which was partly offset by a decline in the number of workers in the sector by 2.3 pct. The decline in income reflected a 6.0 pct fall in the value of agricultural production, a 0.9 pct decline in the value of livestock production and a 3.6 pct fall in inflow prices. Between 2005 and 2014, EU-28 real agricultural income per worker is estimated to have increased by 34.4%, while agricultural labor input fell by 24.6%. In comparison with 2013, the real average agricultural income per worker grew in Slovenia (13 pct), Hungary (9.1 pct), Czech Republic (7.2 pct) and the UK (6.9 pct), while it fell in Finland (-22.8 pct), Lithuania (-19.4 pct), Belgium (-15.2 pct), Italy (-11 pct), Estonia (-10.9 pct) and Denmark (-10.1 pct). Compared with 2005, the real agricultural income per worker rose 27.1 pct in Greece.
