Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt released this statement in regard to the audit requested by City Council members on his campaign finances: This morning I requested that City Clerk Kris Teske perform an audit of the campaign finance reports in question. Make absolutely no mistake, if there were errors made, they were made with no malicious intent whatsoever, and they will be promptly dealt with, as all past errors have been. -Mayor Jim Schmitt.
