Green Day getting in to the HOF was inevitable. They were the mainstream punk (is that even possible?) that people flocked to. Personally I think it was way too soon to induct them. They sold units, and lots of them, and continue to this day. NIN not being in, or how long it took for legends and pioneers in music is the true travesty in the HOF system. The class they are getting in with is very odd in selection and not the best class I have ever seen by far. I only liked a few songs from Green Day myself, but even if somehow you have never heard a song from them, you have heard the name and can associate it rapidly. They made a historical mark one way or another.
