Green Meadow Fire Update: Rather than answer all the individual threads and private messages weve received inquiring about the well being of those involved in the Green Meadow fire were going to post a general update. First your concern, thoughts, prayers, and messages show what a great town we live in. The immediate needs of all those affected by last nights fire are currently being addressed. We will be in contact with all the families involved over the next 48 hours and if there are any unmet needs, well be sure to post them here. The fire is currently under investigation by the State, County and Township Fire Marshals offices. Unlike TV or the movies, real life investigations can take weeks to complete. Currently we have no details to share as to the cause of this fire. Please take a moment and check your smoke detectors. If they are over eight years old, please replace them. If you cant recall when you changed the battery last, replace it tonight. When bad things happen particularly around the holidays good people often feel the need to do something to help. One thing we would ask that you consider is to help us with our Pack the Patrol Car Food Drive on Saturday December 13th from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Horsham Giant on Horsham Road. We will be once again teaming up with the St. Catherines Food Pantry to help those less fortunate in our area. For those who would prefer to give cash or check, members of the Horsham Neighbors Association will be on hand to accept donations to support their emergency grant program and our Community Police Program.
