Green, Orange, Blue, Violet based tans ARE YOU - TopicsExpress

Green, Orange, Blue, Violet based tans ARE YOU CONFUSED? Professional Spray Tan Solutions have two main features. 1. DHA – (Dihydroxyacetone) is a clear active tanning ingredient that can’t be seen when first sprayed onto the skin. DHA stimulates the protein within the skin to produce brown colour pigments known as melanoidins. These pigments become visible between 1 – 4 hours after a spray tan and do not wash off but fade away slowly just like a real tan. 2. Cosmetic Bronzer – because there is no colour visible from the DHA when first sprayed onto the skin, spray tanning solutions contain a cosmetic bronzing tint so your Technician can see where they have sprayed the tanning solution – a colour guide. The cosmetic bronzer simply washes off when you shower. So… when a Professional Spray Tan Solution is referred to as being of a certain colour base eg green or violet based etc – it is the colour guide that is being referred to which has no impact on the final colour result of your tan. It is the quality and % of the DHA contained in the Professional Spray Tan Solution that affects the colour of the tan.
