Green light for NTNU Iranian PhD student. UDI has reversed its unfair rejection decision for PhD student Narjes Jafariesfad and now she can continue her study at NTNU. Like many other Iranian students and skilled workers, the reason for her rejection was stated as concerns related to export control and local and international sanction law and the risk of transferring knowledge to Iran that can be used in WMD. Now she feels like having a little more security to settle her life together with his husband who is also a post-doc researcher. The couple have been doing very well in Norway until they were informed that her resident application was rejected. She then appealed the decision and the answer was fortunately positive for her. It has been stressful months before she was told that the complaint was upheld. Although Jafariesfad are delighted to have received a positive response from the UDI, she has not celebrated yet. Many of the affected Iranians appealed the original decisions, but Hamideh Kaffash, was rejected again. - I await for a celebration until it has worked out for Hamideh. I am optimistic on her behalf, saying Jafariesfad.
