Greenfield Park- A 21-year-old man has died after being stabbed in the neck yesterday afternoon. Around 3pm (19-08), police were called to Mistral Street, following reports of a stabbing but no-one was found. A short time later, a 21-year-old man presented to Fairfield Hospital with a stab wound to his neck. He underwent emergency surgery but died about 4.45pm. Police were patrolling Jasnar Street, Greenfield Park when they arrested two men. The men, aged 24 and 39, were arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station and later released pending further inquiries. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death continue and anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to come forward.
