Greenzone results 29-12-2014 Welcome back to a new and interesting week and end of the month !. Hope you all have enjoyed the Christmas holidays and are ready for some action ? !. Not quite the typical boring Monday today , the EURUSD went to its lowest at 1.2142 , a figure not seen since July 2012 !. Should we see it drop another 100 pips we will be at a 4 year low. Basically I do not see why not really. Need a smaller disaster in the US and a miracle in the Eurozone to change this trend. If nothing happens , we could spend at least half the year trading below the 1.2 figure, predictions going as low as 1.05xx and the way it goes now, what would stop it? .. Looks like the USD suffers minor set-backs at times but only minor ones, which then soon are corrected and it´s strength continues. We did see some stop hunting today, the EURUSD going as high as 1.2220 , but we did expect that, but not really that it would break below the previous low of 1.2160 on the first day of the week, but then again, the only predictable about forex of course is that it´s unpredictable !: We are also trading in very thin air, so of course this is being abused a bit,but we will see what happens, when some more liquidity is brought to the marked !: The Cable also did go for some stop hunting in the early hours, but before noon it started its descend which took it 80 pips lower to around 1.5505 , so I guess we will see it consolidating a bit like we also might expect of the EURUSD and USDJPY and then it should go below 1.55.. The rate hikes are generally traded into the market, with the US as being first and the Cable next. And the Euro ?? please, don´t make me laugh, we are more likely to see it going into more negative !. However where does it end? .. Most times expectations are broken and predictions are not coming true. We did expect 18 months ago that the Cable would go to 1.35 and then it turned as soon as Carney took office and went to almost 1.72 instead. Now too many agree on too low numbers, so lets take it with a pinch of salt and not get too excited, it is not over until the fat lady has sung !. Also the US must be getting pretty much frustrated over the expensive USD , so they might do some counter measures to make it a bit cheaper, but for now, the USD is King !. Where we might see some weakness would be in Q2 of next year, where most things would have been priced in and the slightest disappointment in the USD would have instant reactions!. Of course we now wait for the QE to come in the EU , then we should see lower levels. Actually I think that with the QE , the Euro will take longer to recover than without. It did work for the first one to ever use it, namely the UK and then later also for the US, but their structures are totally different than the EU´s , so the guarantees were better that the funds would come in again. In the EU it´s different and more risky, so if something goes wrong, then expect we will now have seen the bottom by far !!. Anyway it is for now all words, don´t really want to make too many predictions until the markets are a bit stable again, portfolio´s filled and the big boys are back from their holidays !. But it looks like that even if the USD should weaken a bit, it would still be stronger than any of its rivals, so for now we are bullish on the USD. Could however expect corrections and stop loss hunting across the board. The USDJPY is again going up the hill , slightly ascending all day and is now around the 121 area, so I guess it is soon time we see some corrections there, but that the USD will take a look at the upper side of 121 is more a certainty than an option. ! So today we reached a total balance of 4.5 million USD in the Greenzone , so growing steadily, expecting to reach no less than 12 million USD at this time next year , we are in a positive mood as we have got the predictions made 13 months ago, absolutely spot on !.
