Greeting Black Women Film Network: I just wanted to announce that the Indiegogo campaign for my second feature film Octavia: Elegy for a Vampire is live! This film will star rising star Trae Harris and will not be a traditional horror/vampire genre-film but rather a complex portrait of an immortal African American woman trying to come to terms with the perennial problems of racism, misogyny, and the startling lack of consciousness in the world...as she tries to diminish her bloodlust. Throughout her spiritual journey, we glimpse various chapters of her life as a spiritual leader, punk rocker, and cleaning woman. It is both my love-poem to women and an address to all those who struggle to bring truth and light into this world despite having been maligned from the mainstream. Please spread the word!
