Greetings All, To celebrate the centenary of Marcus Mosiah - TopicsExpress

Greetings All, To celebrate the centenary of Marcus Mosiah Garvey, the Jamaican political visionary, entrepreneur, publisher and pan-Africanist, the much awaited, Interrupted Journey Part X has been rescheduled for Saturday, 20th December, doors open 6.30 pm for 7.30 pm start. His ideas inspired many African - descended political thinkers including Dr. Martin Luther King, Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela and Bob Marley. My father too, Solomon Andoh Quansah, who navigated several Black Star Line ships, bought by Ghanas first post-colonial premier, Kwame Nkrumah, was inspired by Garveys visions and ideas. Thirty- five years after my fathers passing in Ghana, in Ealing, I and family members unpacked his shipping trunk, and found a moving Black Star Line legacy. I will also contribute a presentation relating to my late fathers Black Star Line legacy and Marcus Garvey. This eclectic evening of discussion, politics, music and other creativities, has been organised by internationally acclaimed Saxophonist, Lascelles James, and takes place at Patidar House, Wembley (HA9 7EX). Please check the Flyer for more details. Thank You and Blessings Akuba
