Greetings Boston Lovers! My name is Asher and because it is almost Thanksgiving, I wanted to share what I am thankful for : Look at the first picture below . I was dumped at a shelter by my family last summer. They said I was old and grumpy. It was determined , based on that statement ,that I was not adoptable and I was scheduled to be euthanized. I have never been so terrified in my life! Well, before I knew what had happened, this wonderful Fur-Daddy from ABTR had swooped in and rescued me from that terrible place ! He talked to me all the way home about rescue and that I was safe now and I was going to the nice vet to get checked out , and he promised me everything would be ok. And he was right ! The nice doctor determined that I was only about 6 years old, and I was grumpy because I had a wound on my leg that had never been treated , and it was really painful. Well- they got me all fixed up and I went to stay at Fur-Daddys house. I have wonderful food, a warm cozy bed, a safe yard to play in, lots of dog pals,and I feel loved and safe . I an very thankful for that day when ABTR sent Fur-Daddy to get me, and I am thankful for the wonderful life I have as a foster right now. The one thing I put my paws together and ask for every night is my very own family. Fur Daddy tells me I am a wonderful dog - house trained and I know my manners . He says one day soon I will have my very own wonderful family. This Holiday Season, please dont forget those of us that are still longing for our own special families, we would love to be home for Christmas !
