Greetings Facebook Friends: I have been conspicuously absent from Facebook for sometime now. Except for an occasional kudos or condolence, I have been on quite a hiatus from social media. Once a prolific blogger, philosopher and proselytizer; trials and tribulations quieted me and forced me into submissive prayer and occasional fasting, intense Bible study, family life, workplace drama...Ahh, the vicissitudes of life! In the midst of these storms, God has wrought a miracle and fulfilled the dreams of a litttle Bronx boy. He grew up poor amidst rats, roaches, and drug addicts. He eventually became a very good songwriter, married young and his life fell apart. He became a drug addict himself but years later got saved! Throughout this complex life a fine thread of talent continued to manifest in song. The writer had a dream to one day have his songs published and sold, but no one would buy into his vision; not even the churches where he attended, faithfully paid tithes and made sacrificial offerings! Nobody seemed to care much about this boys music, only a few family members that remained faithfully supportive, but the boy, now a middle-aged man continued to be passionate and held fast to his dream of becoming one of gospel musics beloved composers: not that he should recieve any glory for himself; but that God should receive the glory once the world heard his story! She said that she was a talent scout from the record label! She had heard one of his songs and wanted to offer him a record deal! Well, the songwriter reluctantly signed a record contract and now he has a HUGE problem! He has prayed and dreamed of the day when the whole world could hear his music, and now, his dream has come true! But now he is faced with this dilemma! HE HAS TO ACTUALLY SELL THE CDS!
