Greetings Friday chums... Whilst reading a letter from a dear friend whom is having a rough ride at the moment she told me she had been to a fair and bought a plaque we have all seen and read I am sure , Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain. This quote is about living our lives, not simply waiting around for a good times to start. Too many people wait for the right moment before starting to live their life. It is not about waiting. It is not about avoiding the storm. And it is most definitely not about waiting for the storm to pass. We all will face storms in our lives, rough weather. It is up to us ,do we hide inside, waiting for it to pass, allowing opportunities to slip by or will we continue with our lives, enjoying even the roughest of weather? It is our choice. If we wait , procrastinate , drift ,waste time nothing will happen . But time will not stop moving on ,meanwhile we have achieved nothing . Rain or shine life must go on .. So what do we do ? We get up get out get wet make the most of the weather ...we dance in the rain... Like weave never danced before I was very happy to read a statement from my son Sams lovely partner Hanne Steffans today and so proud her of how she is a prime example of experiencing the worst of storms loosing both her parents so very young and choosing to dance in the rain. See her statement below written by her on her birthday My 27th year started very hard with the most testing experience but I never would have thought Id be sitting here now with a big smile on my face. I sometimes cant believe how lucky I am. But its not really luck and it hasnt been easy. I have tried very hard to do what my parents would want me to do and enjoy my life and seize every moment. And from doing that Ive had the most incredible year. Its also thanks to an amazing group of friends and family who have supported me through it all and who have all played a part in making me the happy person I am. I cant thank them enough. This year Ive become an auntie, Ive bought my 1st house with the kindest man I know, Ive got a promotion at work, Im about to go on a once in a lifetime month long trip with my friends and boyfriend and have done some amazing things. Im really proud of what Ive achieved and I just wish my mum & dad were around to see it and I hope they are proud! They are what gives me my strength! if anything, this just proves to me you have the ownership of your own destiny and life is what you make it. If everyone lived by that the world would be a happier place. So heres to being another year older and trying to make the rest of my life, the best of my life! — feeling loved. “It takes a real storm in the average persons life to make him realize how much worrying he has done over the squalls.” ― Bruce Barton Remember, the storm is a good opportunity for the pine and the cypress to show their strength and their stability. Ho Chi Minh The little reed, bending to the force of the wind, soon stood upright again when the storm had passed over. Aesop So chums get your wellies on and turn up the music ... And dance ! Yall have a great weekend and hey ,be safe out there !
