Greetings Friends, 13 Do not be afraid, stand firm, and see - TopicsExpress

Greetings Friends, 13 Do not be afraid, stand firm, and see the deliverance that the LORD will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today you shall never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to keep still. (Exo 14:13-14 NRS) I voted! It was wonderful after the build up over the past year to finally go to the polls last Thursday. But I did go...and I did vote...now my job, our job is to make sure that everyone else who is able to vote votes, too. So, tomorrow is our one Souls to the Polls Sunday. Please take your church, your synagogue, your mosque, your temple, your meeting house with you to the polls tomorrow to vote. Let them know that early voting matters to you by casting your vote early! In case you were planning on being there, there will not be a get-out-to-vote event at Little Rock AMEZ church in Charlotte tomorrow. The previously scheduled event has been cancelled so that you can go with your congregation to the polls. Dr. Barber has called for a Ministers Moral Monday on the phone on Monday evening 10/27/14 at 8pm. The goal of this call is to get all clergy in North Carolina on a call together to strategize for the Get Out To Vote activities that will take place over the next few weeks leading up to this crucial election. Please call in at 832-551-5100; code 311401# and invite all of your friends in ministry to join you for this important conference call. As we come to this crucial time in the calendar of our democracy, remember that this is our first opportunity to respond to the regressive legislation of our General Assembly and Governors Office and we have to make it count. We can change our state; and all we need to do is to inform those who are registered to vote about the issues and then get them to the polls. If we just do that, the change we want to see in North Carolina is assured. To quote Moses, Do not be afraid, stand firm, and see the deliverance that the Lord will accomplish for you today. Our task is simple. We are just joining the work for justice that God has already begun. Remember that The Lord will fight for us and the Lord will win this victory. All we must do is stand firm and VOTE! Thank you for all you are doing to bring needed change to our state! Gods Grace and Peace, Rodney S. Sadler, Jr., Ph.D. Associate Professor of Bible Union Presbyterian Seminary
