Greetings HANs, I wanted to welcome all our new members to the group for the past 2.5 hours I have been adding new members to the group. This group has been up for 2 years and in the 2 years weve grown from a few 100 to almost 40K!!! Im am glad that we are growing but I also want you all to understand why I created this group. I wanted to reach out to others who shared the same passion as I do in helping and promoting health and wellness in our Native Communities. I wanted to create a group like no other where we are supporting one another motivating and being positive towards each other by also eating healthy exercising and sharing our journeys together. Its sad to say that we often criticize our Native people but in the 2 years we have been running we have not had much negativity in the group especially for such a huge social media group. I want you all to also not forget to be respectful in the group we have tribal leaders, elders and young teens in this group so please show respect. We are still on our journey to help our Native brothers and sisters to join us to be healthy mind, body and spirit. We have created a movement in Native Country like no other so Please! Please! Please! Help me to keep this positive movement going! I understand that every once in awhile we get some negative comments or posts but to strong you have to also look past it and not let your emotions get the best of you. Ive said it before you can be the strongest person in the world but if your mind isnt strong and you are not strong at all. In these past 2 years Ive received 100s if emails and criticism from others but I didnt let it get to me and look where we are now some of your posts have saved lives and have made others live a healthier lifestyle. Creating HANs has also helped me spread our message to many reservations and I am thankful for the invitations. I would have never imagined that a Facebook group would grow so big and impact many lives and I owe it all to my Native brothers and sisters for making this possible. Thanks again and remember to be Respectful of others and what you post in the group.
