Greetings Lovely Ones! Im helping two filmmakers find an expecting mom, EDD no later than mid Dec. in the Los Angeles area, for a short film about BREATH. Either I or one of them would be filming these moments. Theres a slight chance that two of us would be there to film. A word from the filmmakers: This film is a collection of breathing moments over the course of a lifetime, from the mundane to the funny, from the everyday to the once-in-a-lifetime. Weve successful filmed 95% of the film over the past year but have been held up with one major shot: a babys first breath. Wed like to film a woman in labor and a babys first breath outside of the womb. We understand that the birthing process is a miracle, and that the moment of birth is one of the most precious and sacred human experiences. For those reasons, we are committed to filming in the least invasive way possible. Were a husband and wife directing team, Daniel operates the camera and Katina operates sound, no one else need be present. Daniel has filmed several births and has some experience with what its like to both be emotionally present and capture footage. For the film we will use only a few seconds of footage: the babys first cry and a womans breath in labor. Wed be happy to give a copy of all the footage to the mother for her own personal use.
