Greetings... Many of you know Keith Walker, as he is the key presenter for Knights of the 21st Century DVD curriculum that many of you have seen and heard. As such, you probably know that his son, Caleb, has been engaged in a five year battle with brain cancer. Caleb was called home to his eternal reward in the early morning hours of December 3rd, 2014. His memorial service with several hundreds attending was held on his 24th birthday, December 8th, 2014. He fought valiantly to the very end. Just a few days before he died he officiated fund raising events for his foundation, A Week Away, which offers families with a member battling cancer to go away for a week to refresh. What a selfless warrior! If you like, you can visit their website at aweekaway.org/. I had a few unexpected hours of down time yesterday, and decided to watch a movie I havent seen in years, Rob Roy. A certain line struck me so that I paused the DVD to write it down. One of Robs sons asks, Father, will the MacGregors ever be kings again? To which he replied, All men with honor are kings. But not all kings have honor. That line made me think of Caleb. He was a multiple year graduate of Knights of the 21st Century, and lived our principles as well as anyone has. •He never sat on a throne, but he was certainly a king, ruling with righteous energy, and taking care of all his subjects. •He never earned a degree, but he was wise beyond his years, making men who were four times his senior walk in his shadow. •His name never became a household word, but he was loved by everyone that knew him. •He was never awarded a Purple Heart or a Medal of Honor, but I have never met anyone who fought more valiantly, selflessly and courageously for the lives of others, and against a dreaded disease that eventually took his earth life. •Ultimately, he was unable to add moments to his life, but for the past five years, he added life to his moments. Just days before he died he got a passport, planning to live to the very end. Most of you have never met Caleb. I wish you had. Your life, like mine, would be much richer. Keith, his bride Lynn and their family would appreciate your prayers on their behalf as they walk the trail of grief. If you would like to say something to Keith, send me the email and I will faithfully pass it along to him. Strength and Honor! Steve Sabol
