Greetings! My name is Jennifer. I first discovered Death Café online, and LOVED the concept of people coming together to discuss death. Death has become such a taboo topic of conversation in our society that many people dont talk about. So I contacted Megan, who runs the Death Cafe is St. Joe, MO to find out what Death Café was all about. Last night I drove down to St. Joe and it was such an incredible experience. We were split up into small groups, and we talked about advanced directives, what we thought death would be like, what happens after, our own experiences, our hopes and fears, etc. The intent of Death Café is to discuss death-causal limit-less conversations over coffee. This is not just for medical people, or those who have lost a loved one-but just an environment to come together to meet new people and discuss death. SO...here we go in Omaha!
