Greetings Pennell Families and Happy Friday! Well...to say this was a short week is an understatement. Between Mondays holiday and the snow closures, there isnt much to report this Friday. Barring unexpected weather, next week will hopefully be our first full week of school in a while! Progress reports will be mailed home on Monday, marking the half-way point in the second trimester. Reports are only sent home if there is a teacher concern. Believe it or not, parent-teacher conferences are right around the corner. Second trimester conferences are not mandatory and may be requested by either the teacher or the parent. A parent letter regarding the optional conferences has been sent home. If you need to request a conference, please be sure to indicate your request on the letter and return to school as soon as possible. Optional parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Thurs. February 27th 2014 from 12:40 to 7:40 pm. As a reminder, we have some great events coming up, including Math Night next Thursday, January 30th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, and the Variety Show on February 21st at Sun Valley High School (tickets required).
