Greetings Philippine Debate Union. I am Justin Kitong from Saint Louis University. SLU and PMA would like to make a joint-bid to host the next NDC. (BAGUIO NDC) We have already informed our President Weston Lee of our intention to bid. These are the following information you need to know (Following the guidelines set.) 1. Hosting Institution - Saint Louis University in partnership with The Philippine Military Academy. 2. Organizational Committee - (to be announced/not yet final) *we asked permission if we could do this. The President said it was OK. 3. Registration Fee - The Registration Fee will be, AT MAXIMUM P 5650.00. So yes, there might be a possibility of it getting lower. Inclusive of: Rent of debate venues, Transportation to and from venues, Food (breakfast, lunch and dinner), Socials, Accomodation and Debate Kits. 4. Pitch First reason why you should support our bid: The climate here in Baguio is pretty nice. The tournament will be held at December (13-19) one of the coolest times in the calendar. Second (and more important): We want to maximize the participation of debate teams and institutions in the next NDC. Historically, a lot of teams participate in Baguio-hosted NDCs, never going lower than 110 teams even reaching more than 120 teams (PMA NDC i think). Baguio is a very accessible place to the bulk of the debating community. Yes, someone will have to travel farther than others, but we believe this is most fair to the most number of people.
