Greetings all, The agenda for the Planning commission meeting on - TopicsExpress

Greetings all, The agenda for the Planning commission meeting on the 27th is up on the city site. I spent a little time going over it today, looking for any surprises. It appears as if the developer of the Pacific City Apartments is looking for clarification on the total number of code required parking spaces and are seeking a parking variance from what was conditionally approved. If you read the document carefully youll see they are requesting to take away 124 parking spaces taking it to 1167 spaces from the conditionally approved 1291. Taking away parking spaces will only create parking problems for existing neighborhoods. Impacted most will be the state streets, First, Second, Walnut, Olive, Orange, 3rd/Lake. Why is it that every developer wants to push the limits on parking? We must tell them NO. Their greed needs to be denied. If you read deeper, youll discover even the conditional approval was a reduction in parking for the hotel and commercial portion of Pacific City. Please contact the planning commissioners and let them know you do not want them to approve any parking variance for any project, especially this one. See attachment.
