Greetings everyone, We are staging an event called “Debate Journal Lecture Series” at the Philippine Normal University on January 31, 2015 from 9AM to 2PM. This is a free event open to everyone, which is aimed at energizing the community. We are also staging this for the users of the Debate Journal. As what DJ users know, this January is dedicated for the study of the law, hence, we got CARLOS HERNANDEZ as contributor given his spectacular career as a debater and adjudicator and his exceptional academic performance in law school. If you have questions regarding his article or if you want him to expound on a point he raised in the article, you may ask him about it at the event. For those who would not be able to make it at the event, you may message me your questions and I will relay it to him at the event. In addition, we are also featuring other speakers who are knowledgeable about debating and the field of law such as the 2013 Asian champion JESUS FALCIS and the 2011 Worlds Convenor and 2014 Cambridge IV ESL-Finalist, DINO DE LEON. I invited debate luminaries from the older generation but none has confirmed yet. Hopefully, this event can also bridge the current generation with the senior batches to improve the competitiveness of Filipino debaters.
